1989-Starting of business in rented area of 3200 square feet. The conception and fabrication on order of awls-dies were the main operations. During the next three years, Matritech showed
its capacities in dies for clients such as; General Motors, Inglis and Bombardier.
1992-Building was enlarged and acquisition of first complete press system.
1994-Matritech was moved to the Drummondville Industrial Park, acquired equipment for pressing and cutting-WEDM. Company has 19 employees.
1997-Matritech increased their production capacity by purchasing new press and awl CNC.
1998-Purchased another press and enlarged the factory to 32,000 square feet.
1999-Administration system was registered to the standard of ISO 9002.A second awl was purchased, combined with laser. Staff of 49 employees.
2001- Investment of a new awl. Factory was enlarged by 16,000 sq.ft.. Employees increased to 70.
2002- Installation of press and complete feeding system 50' width.
2003- Matritch introduced welding robot
2006- Acquired automatic press.
2007- New press with complete feeding system (redresser-feeder-winder) and new welding robot for aluminium with automatic rotating table combined with beating arch-bow.
2008- Building enlarged by 13,000 sq.ft.
2009- Acquisition of a new laser including automatic changing system with 36 drawer storage.
Since its beginning, Matritech has invested close to 10 million dollars including computing system.
