Matritech moved in its new factory located in the Drummondville industrial park and proceeded by acquiring metal stamping equipment and wire electric discharge machines or WEDM. The company then included 19 team members.

Matritech continued to increase production ability by purchasing a new press and CNC punching machine.

Matritech added yet another press and enlarged the site to 32,000 ft2.

Quality management system was registered under the ISO 9002 standard. Matritech added a second punching machine combined with a laser. The company then had 49 team members.

New investment for a punching machine. The company added another 16,000 ft2 and the team member count jumped to 70.

 Matritech introduced robotic welding.

 Acquisition of an automatic press.

New press with complete automatic feeding (feeder-straightener-decoiler) was put in service as well as a new welding robot with an automatic rotating table combined with pulsed arc welding technology.

Factory enlargement: an additional 13,000 ft2 were added.

Installation of a laser, including an integrated automatic loading system with 36 storage drawers.

Factory enlargement – yet another 18,000 ft² were added. Purchase of a 3rd welding robot. Transformation of an industrial rental facility adjoining the main factory offered an additional 12,000 ft2. Total area = 85,000 ft2.

Matritech completed the transformation of all its facilites that ensure continual production flow. 2 CNC bending presses with bending angle optic sensors were purchased.

Purchase of automatic bundle saw, robotic bending cell and vertical machining centre, the Mazak VTC 300C.

Purchase of a horizontal machining centre with 2 pallet changers.

Acquisition of a new vertical machining center to increase our manufacturing capacity for our dies.
